Oops...

Well, I almost went another month without posting ,but I made it by one day!!! I am really trying to become better about blogging, because I believe it will add more organization to my life...but then life happens. I feel like everytime I try to make this thing cooler looking, but then I get frustrated and don't wanna deal with it anymore. Ps: I happen to THINK about blogging quite often..but um yea anyway..
I don't really know what to blog about, mainly because I'm not really even sure anymore what this blog is about. Is it for me to set some goals, posting about steps to achieving them then achieving it...or is it for me to post about fun stuff that I buy for my loft and crafty projects I do. I want to merge the two, but I feel like the first is going to be really boring...but doing only the latter will result in very rare postings! I mean as for updates on the place since the last post...I haven't done anything remotely crafty which is very sad!!! I just don't have the money or the time to run out and buy craft supplies :(.

So on to the goals portion of my blog, which I actually have updates!!! Yay for me, boring for youuuu. So there are a few things that I want to accomplish in the near future and make a habit. First of all, I am making a doctors appointment and dentist appointment just for a little check-up to feel better about my health. Then, I am going out and buying whitening strips to start getting these pearly whites...well, pearly white! I also want to start getting into drinking healthy shakes to start off my day...maybe instead of coffee...maybe both, I haven't decided on that one yet! I just love coffee too much to even consider not allowing myself to drink it, but I feel like if I start drinking shakes my desire for coffee may diminish. A few coworkers and friends as well as "stumbling" have turned me onto shakes with kale and spinach mixed with fruit, and I finally got to taste one today...YUMM! I will definitely be adding a blender as well as these ingredients to my next shopping list! ;) Another foodie goal is to eat more veggies and fruits than meat/pasta/etc when I have dinner, because most of the time I have a whole plate of spaghetti, then a couple steamed veggies! So I'm going to work on slowly doing more and more veggies and a little less of the main event. Another HUGE goal in the food world, (am I going on a diet..?) is no more candy whatsoever. I will allow ice cream as it has dairy and I hate milk, so I gotta get my calcium (ok dumb reasoning, but I rarely eat ice cream anyway..once a month at most!). No more fried foods...I will REALLY miss french fries. But I think I might have exceptions when its that time of the month. maybe. maybe. no. i dont know. There will be more in the dieting/food world that I will be eliminating or cutting down...or adding more of! But this is just a start. If I can get these down by the end of February and have it a habit by March I'll be so happy! One more thing is remembering to take my vitamin daily, but I've been doing that for a week or so now. Yay me.
On to the more serious goals......in another blog to come soon...hehe.

Chronicling the following: Unicorn Space, 75 Holistic, and being a new mom to two

I feel like it's easy to create goals, but a lot harder to stick to them! You get caught up in the daily grind or something *happens* and you never get back into it (whatever IT may be).  I had a baby almost 3 months ago and I also have a 3 year old, so life is a little hectic and crazy. I also lost my dad about a year and a half ago and that was a huge mental load in many ways. Even though my baby is still young, I want to really start reaching the goals that I set for myself in order to 1. set a good example for my family, 2. be the best mama I can be (and I can only do that if I am participating in some self-care and making time for myself) and 3. well I mean who doesn't like accomplishing things? 4. be set up for success once life gets "easier"  To start, I am going to add journaling to my unicorn space goals. I want to do more than that, but I think it's a good way to get my creative juice flowing and I can figure out what I would like to do next. Ideas incl...

I think I might blog about it

I am feeling bloggy today! I'm about ready to fire up the instagram (and dare I say start up my tiktok?) again and in about a month I'll be making the switch to my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. But here's the thing...I'm having SO much fun in my current spring/summer one! I'm pretty sure I am going to combine them for a somewhat larger than average, but longer lasting, capsule. A lot of people switch theirs every season. I tend to switch it up every 6 months. Now it may be more of a "this is my wardrobe forever and everytime I buy something new I get rid of something with holes or stains" wardrobe.  Anyway- My incredibly loose formula for building a capsule is as follows:  Figure out my color scheme! I did a brown base for my last fall/winter and navy base for my spring/summer. I think that this time around I will do a navy base for my fall/winter, but keep in some of the brown as a secondary color. I also always have a cool off-white as my second base col...

Britton Bigfoot Basecamp

FUN NEWS!  We bought a pop up camper!  And we named her the Britton Bigfoot Basecamp. Eliza is currently obsessed with Bigfoot so it felt right. We did ask ChatGPT for some name suggestions, but Alex and I came up with this on our own! I told ChatGPT that we are a family of 4 with two young girls looking for a name for our new pop up camper. We love music and the outdoors, and our 3 year old loves Bigfoot! Some of my fave Chat suggestions were Pop goes the Brittons, Popped and Rocked, In Tune and In Tents, Off Key and Off Road, but Alex wasn't thrilled with them. Luckily, some of the Chat's suggestions inspired us to where we ended up!  We are going to chronicle our renovation of the pop up, which is luckily in amazing condition. We also want to try not to spend an exorbitant amount of money, so I think I'll also share what we are spending along the way.  First up is cleaning! I have spent about $40 on a cleaner that gets rid of mildew, a mop for cleaning the c...
