hump day!

So after a days of work and socializing, today was my day. I dont work till 730, thought id get LOADS of stuff done! I was planning on grabbing some mason jars and fabrics and possibly a lampshade, but of course got sidetracked by getting rent/bill money together and then cleaning up the place. I did like 2 loads of dishes, cleaned up the whole kitchen sink and counters, put all the clothes away, and straightened up the living room and bathroom. The whole place looks amazing! I just hope that it stays like this for awhile...I think I'm going to work on keeping up after everything instead of having full on days where I have to clean up every little thing.

So...I didn't have much to say today...but writing down my mundane tasks inspires me to be a better person and keep up on my apartment and keeping it beautiful. I can't WAIT to get a bookshelf, I found this awesome old bottle that Drew had of jim beam that I want to put in it...and a couple vegas souveniers. What I really need to work on is getting some pictures developed and putting up this picture frame my mom got me that can fit like 8 pictures and says "memories" on top. this blog sucks bye..........................

heres some pictures to make this post slightly less lame...

omg check this out! amazing peacock living rooms and decorations! :)

I think I might blog about it

I am feeling bloggy today! I'm about ready to fire up the instagram (and dare I say start up my tiktok?) again and in about a month I'll be making the switch to my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. But here's the thing...I'm having SO much fun in my current spring/summer one! I'm pretty sure I am going to combine them for a somewhat larger than average, but longer lasting, capsule. A lot of people switch theirs every season. I tend to switch it up every 6 months. Now it may be more of a "this is my wardrobe forever and everytime I buy something new I get rid of something with holes or stains" wardrobe.  Anyway- My incredibly loose formula for building a capsule is as follows:  Figure out my color scheme! I did a brown base for my last fall/winter and navy base for my spring/summer. I think that this time around I will do a navy base for my fall/winter, but keep in some of the brown as a secondary color. I also always have a cool off-white as my second base col...

Time for my yearly check-in!

Ok so- (have you ever seen that video about the end of the world from ebaum's world? well this was said like that guy....)  Alright the first thing is first - I have an 18 month old daughter and am hoping to get pregnant again in the (near?) future. This means that I am living in that postpartum mama bod world and am not mentally ready to try and get slimmer yet. Maybe I never will! I have a somewhat apple/rectangle shape and lots of belly!! I am also petite in height. This makes it SO hard to find clothes that fit AND look good on me! I have searched high and low for jeans that fit and also don't give me a muffin top or fall down my narrow hips. Anyway, I have made a few purchases for some clothes that will be more flattering for my figure- finger's crossed. This means peplum tops, slacks, high waisted leggings/skinny jeans when they fit. I also have NO MONEY! So, some of my purchases have had to be through amazon and old navy in order to be able to afford clothing for my...

this is whats up

So...I recently moved into a loft apartment with my boyfriend, Drew, as most of you already know. We've been here a little over 2 months now and have gotten most of our necessities for the place, so ive moved onto decorating. Each of my rooms sort of have themes so far. My bathroom was the first thing i bought anything for and it is a red victorian sorta type theme. I've pretty much completed the bathroom/sink area and just need a "jewlery tree" and maybe a shelving/basket unit in the cabinets below the sink... My kitchen is just green. So far...i guess my "themes" are just colors haha, but whatever. It's so tiny that its pretty difficult to decorate in it, so i'm going to make some cute magnets for the fridge and on the other side of the kitchen i want to get some bar stools. Once i do that maybe ill add a few small decos on the bar counter. i dont spend much time in there anyway....haha! Okay now for the hard parts....living room and bedroom! i...
