thoughts...

Today is my day off! I am SOOO excited, but I also have a lot going on that I want to do...hang with co-workers, hang with besties, hang with family...not sure where to start! Sorta wondering what I'll do since I ALSO need to go to the craft store to grab a few things! I think I might start at lucky's and grab a 12 pack of mason jars I saw there for 12 bucks, super stoked. To best honest, I just really love the idea of decorating with mason jars! There are so many cute ideas out there.

Anyway, I think that's a good start, buying the jars. Having them, I have several possiblities of where to go next....start dying the jars....do a few little decorations with them....whatevs. I think my next project that I am going to do and complete this week is the lampshade in my bedroom. This is going to be super easy, all I need to do is buy a new lampshade in a white or plain color and then decorate it! I decided that I am going to add some deep red (to sorta match the bathroom...not sure what color theme to go with the zebra since drews not thrilled about pink...haha) ribbons or fabrics around the lampshade. Then I am going to add flowers like these...
but with zebra print and maybe white and black patterns or just plain white and black ones too. We will see when I head to the store and grab some fabrics! The awesome thing about these is you can also just make them out of old shirts, rags, or just those little quarter fabrics they sell at the stores for less than a dollar! Or something...? Anyway those are my next projects/goals and I hope to complete them this week! Even if I don't get to start them up today, my work schedule is perfect for having time to do some crafty thangs... :)'

Oh and here's how the bedroom looks so far....  so that lamp is what i'll be fixing up. The zebra cork board is hung up now and there are a couple pictures and items on the side tables too. It's all coming together quite nicely. I want to get a nice picture to hang over the bed...or just a headboard would be nice....we'll see...

I think I might blog about it

I am feeling bloggy today! I'm about ready to fire up the instagram (and dare I say start up my tiktok?) again and in about a month I'll be making the switch to my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. But here's the thing...I'm having SO much fun in my current spring/summer one! I'm pretty sure I am going to combine them for a somewhat larger than average, but longer lasting, capsule. A lot of people switch theirs every season. I tend to switch it up every 6 months. Now it may be more of a "this is my wardrobe forever and everytime I buy something new I get rid of something with holes or stains" wardrobe.  Anyway- My incredibly loose formula for building a capsule is as follows:  Figure out my color scheme! I did a brown base for my last fall/winter and navy base for my spring/summer. I think that this time around I will do a navy base for my fall/winter, but keep in some of the brown as a secondary color. I also always have a cool off-white as my second base col...

Time for my yearly check-in!

Ok so- (have you ever seen that video about the end of the world from ebaum's world? well this was said like that guy....)  Alright the first thing is first - I have an 18 month old daughter and am hoping to get pregnant again in the (near?) future. This means that I am living in that postpartum mama bod world and am not mentally ready to try and get slimmer yet. Maybe I never will! I have a somewhat apple/rectangle shape and lots of belly!! I am also petite in height. This makes it SO hard to find clothes that fit AND look good on me! I have searched high and low for jeans that fit and also don't give me a muffin top or fall down my narrow hips. Anyway, I have made a few purchases for some clothes that will be more flattering for my figure- finger's crossed. This means peplum tops, slacks, high waisted leggings/skinny jeans when they fit. I also have NO MONEY! So, some of my purchases have had to be through amazon and old navy in order to be able to afford clothing for my...
