been quite lazy...

So I haven't blogged for a good week or two...what can I say I've been busy. And of course, I've been busy doing nothing that I said I would be doing in my previous blogs...It's upsetting really. I've been working a lot and went fishing! A nice little mini vacay--
So today I spent WAY TOO MUCH money on a new couch. but I love it so it was worth it :) And we are getting it delivered and put into our house for only 20 bucks! YESSSS. So i'll put up pictures of my new couch tomorrow once it gets delivered. It comes with like a thousand pillows, most of which I plan on making removeable covers for in peacock decor. That way I can keep them clean, AND if I change up my living room decor, I will still have the original pillows in awesome condition to use:).
So far my decorating has been post-poned so instead I will keep you all updated on the boring parts of my life such as paying for and preparing for school in January, getting my car registered and getting ready for Christmas!
For Thanksgiving Drew and I decided to separate this year so we can spend time with our dad's. I am going to hang with my dad and sister and niece and he is going to go to Dixon and hang out with his dad, stepmom and their side of the family. I'd love to see his dad and their family, but I havent spent a thanksgiving with my dad and/or sister in FOREVER...maybe never in terms of the sis.  Luckily, we will both be spending little to no money for thanksgiving!! Once the first comes around though, we will need about $1000 to pay all of our bills, plus a little more for groceries and gas for the month! Not only that but I need to pay about $300 in order to register for school, and $200 for my car registration! Both by the beginning of December! Buying a couch seems like a pretty stupid idea right now....but whatever, I LOVE IT. And I'll make the money to pay it all off, plus Drew's income for the bills and rent. Either way Christmas this year is going to need to be cheap, yet awesome! I'm hoping to get a christmas tree around the 1st of the month, and we plan on cutting it down ourselves:). I have a butt load of ornaments at my moms so we will decorate with those and all we need is a topper! and a tree holder, and a skirt...and presents to put underneath! I cant WAIT to start making and buying presents to wrap and put under the tree. Pictures to come...of course.
side note, which is mostly what my blog is....a bunch of side notes.... i have been downloading torrents which is pretty awesome because you can get full albums. I downloaded a few taylor swift songs and ended up with all of her albums...so now my ipod is half taylor swift and half hip-hop songs taht were popular in 09. haha......wow!

BY THE WAY-- since I bought a new couch, my old one and little chair are for sale! As well as a couch cover and seat cover! Neither of them fit perfectly, but work if you want them...I'm selling the couch for $50, the chair for $40 and the covers for $75 together or $50 each. They are both worth $100 and I bought them only a few weeks ago.....if interested please call me! And if you want all items I can definitely give you a deal...

I think I might blog about it

I am feeling bloggy today! I'm about ready to fire up the instagram (and dare I say start up my tiktok?) again and in about a month I'll be making the switch to my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. But here's the thing...I'm having SO much fun in my current spring/summer one! I'm pretty sure I am going to combine them for a somewhat larger than average, but longer lasting, capsule. A lot of people switch theirs every season. I tend to switch it up every 6 months. Now it may be more of a "this is my wardrobe forever and everytime I buy something new I get rid of something with holes or stains" wardrobe.  Anyway- My incredibly loose formula for building a capsule is as follows:  Figure out my color scheme! I did a brown base for my last fall/winter and navy base for my spring/summer. I think that this time around I will do a navy base for my fall/winter, but keep in some of the brown as a secondary color. I also always have a cool off-white as my second base col...

Time for my yearly check-in!

Ok so- (have you ever seen that video about the end of the world from ebaum's world? well this was said like that guy....)  Alright the first thing is first - I have an 18 month old daughter and am hoping to get pregnant again in the (near?) future. This means that I am living in that postpartum mama bod world and am not mentally ready to try and get slimmer yet. Maybe I never will! I have a somewhat apple/rectangle shape and lots of belly!! I am also petite in height. This makes it SO hard to find clothes that fit AND look good on me! I have searched high and low for jeans that fit and also don't give me a muffin top or fall down my narrow hips. Anyway, I have made a few purchases for some clothes that will be more flattering for my figure- finger's crossed. This means peplum tops, slacks, high waisted leggings/skinny jeans when they fit. I also have NO MONEY! So, some of my purchases have had to be through amazon and old navy in order to be able to afford clothing for my...
