sheeeee's baaaaaackkk!

Well, hello again. You thought I was never coming back, didn't you? Well, surprise! Here I am! It's been a whirlwind since that last time I blogged...but I realize that this is a great place for me to be inspired, even though it is me inspiring myself! I enjoyed reading back over the past year to see what I have accomplished, and although I had a really hard 6 months since I've been on here...I am still going fairly strong. I did get over my back injury and out of my social funk, which is awesome but I ended up falling down my stairs AGAIN back in July/August? and sprained my ankle. That was delightful. Luckily, even though I had a hard time walking for a few weeks, limping made it possible to work and be social as well :). I also had a little promotion at work and have been doing administrative duties once or twice a week with a pretty nice pay raise. I've really enjoyed it and felt that it has brought some organization to my job. It makes me wonder if I should push ...

blog post numba 2...

Just read back in my blog to see how I am doing with my goals and such and am quite happy with myself. A few of my new years resolutions were to eat better and go back to school. Well, I am still planning on going back to school in Fall, just hasn't come around yet and as I said...classes are out this month for me to plan! The eating better one has been going great. We still eat out occasionally, but when we eat at home we eat pretty well. We don't buy a lot of snacks besides yogurt and pita chips with hummus...and are good with portioning out what we will eat in that sitting. I went on a little kick where I was eating way too many fries from work, but have discovered the loveliness of our salads and am being better about ordering those rather than the fries... yay me. So besides my fry mishaps we are successful and it makes me happy.  Not only are we eating well, but I am on top of all our bills. They are due anywhere from the 1st to the 20th of the month, so at first ...

i really need to get my act together!!

Well, when I get into a mood; I really want to get things done...but MOST of the time I'm just trying to keep my house clean, get to work on time, and have time for my friends and family! Right now I'm in the middle of my day off, and have started wandering around our place doing little things here and there. Cleaning and straightening up the closet is where I began...then I moved onto the bathroom sink, started cleaning the area and the toilet...the shower....moved onto folding the clean clothes that have been sitting there for a week now...haha. And then I moved downstairs and realized I felt crafty! I have had these plates for awhile that I MUST GET ON THE WALL! I found a tutorial online using a paperclip, sand paper and super glue that seems to hold up plates really well, yet I have no sand paper or super glue....grr. I will most likely be going out to grab those items before the day is over and putting up my plates. But then once I got to thinking about where  my plates ar...

so stoked!

Oh yeah!! Feelin' great today as I've gotten all of my bills paid for March as of yesterday ANDDD got my living room up to date and its looking awesome! I have a much better idea of what I need to get to complete the look, and I'm getting awesomely close. Obviously, I have pictures. No blog of mine with updates on the look would be complete without pictures!!! If only I had more time to actually craft and had a good space to paint stuff, or else my blog would be so much more exciting. But I live the life of a lowly going-back-to-college-student with a part time job. ha! So at this point I've hung ALL my pictures, that I have at least. I moved the black trunk upstairs to the end of the bed...and love it there. And I rearranged some of the furniture downstairs. No pictures of upstairs yet, as I have to still put laundry away... Here are some before & afters: beforeeee: &after!: ļ»æ so as you see, I have a beautiful display of pictures and pe...

red red wine

you make me feel so fine :). been trying out some new types of wine and my new fave is merlot. yum. so anyway, i did a couple crafty things on my day off the other day and all it really involved was me going onto walgreens.com and paying 12 dollars to get like  70 pictures printed and picked them up in half an hour, then making a collage and putting some in a frame. haha, we had to go to staples to get an extra long phone cord because for a moment there we had hapazardous wires connecting from the back of the tv to the kitchen to the bedroom. it was the only way we could have internet on all of our devices, it was quite a sight! and no, it wasnt the reason why i fell down the stairs....ha. so while we were at staples i saw a pack of thumb tacks in blues, teals and greens and just had to buy them since they match my living room. then since i bought thouse i figured i might as well get some use out of them, so on a whim i got a bunch of pictures printed and heres what turned out! ...

march = amazing

Well, its the 1st so I'm not quite sure about the amazement of it yet, but February was literally the worst month of my life, so pretty much anything that happens this month will be amazing. Basically, I've had a little bit of family drama that has been quite upsetting and heart-breaking, that's as far into that as I'll go. I also fell down my stairs last Sunday and injured myself pretty badly in my neck and upper back, today it is feeling a lot better. :)  On top of all that, the week before my injury I had like a 2 week long cold!! So the day I finally feel better from my cold, I fall. GRRR. Of course all my awesome plans over the past two weeks or more were put off because of my depressed-ness, cold-ness, and painful-ness. So, I'm pretty disappointed in myself, but March is a new month and its a new month were things will be happening.  I should be getting my painting soon from Michaels, they lost some of the matting I guess so its taking an extra week or two f...

new pictures:)

Oops...

Well, I almost went another month without posting ,but I made it by one day!!! I am really trying to become better about blogging, because I believe it will add more organization to my life...but then life happens. I feel like everytime I try to make this thing cooler looking, but then I get frustrated and don't wanna deal with it anymore. Ps: I happen to THINK about blogging quite often..but um yea anyway.. I don't really know what to blog about, mainly because I'm not really even sure anymore what this blog is about. Is it for me to set some goals, posting about steps to achieving them then achieving it...or is it for me to post about fun stuff that I buy for my loft and crafty projects I do. I want to merge the two, but I feel like the first is going to be really boring...but doing only the latter will result in very rare postings! I mean as for updates on the place since the last post...I haven't done anything remotely crafty which is very sad!!! I just don't ...

wowza!

I know, it's a miracle; two posts in two days!! Yippee! Well, I just HAD to post because I finally got around to spending my Joanne's gift card today! I got a couple pillows for my new pillowcases that my mom got for me and a book of scrapbook papers with a peacock theme. I know, obsessed! I bought two pillows that were too small, but then I figured out that one of my pillows I already had fit into the case, so I stuffed the two I bought into the other case and they turned out perfect! As always, "pics or it didnt happen!" Yup, love it. There are two, but I would assume you get the jist of it with the one since they are identical and all....haha. And since I happened to notice online that scrapbooking supplies were 50% off at Joannes I just had to go and buy this scrapbook paper set that I had seen when I went there last month. It's called royal garden, but it is mostly teal blues, golds, and peacock feathers with a couple pages of "edges" and phot...

time for a new years post!

Alrighty! It's been a good two months since I have posted in my blog and as I sit here watching How I Met Your Mother on tv and contemplate when I will go shopping for dinner tonight; I'm ready to update! Christmas was amazing here, my mom treated me to a christmas tree and tree skirt so we had a beautiful decorated tree and I even got around to wrapping presents before christmas! Here's the finished look: yea it turned out awesome I must admit. Yesterday I ventured to Target with my bestie and !!FINALLYY! got a bookshelf. It is amazing and I am soo flippin happy. Now that I've gotten the bookshelf though, I've realized I dont have many books or anything to put into it... So that is my next goal. As for my next crafting adventure, I'm going big this time!! I am going to make a mantle headboard for the bedroom! It is going to be completely beautiful and awesome and all of the above. First of all, it's a pretty good project because my mom has a bun...
